Creating an eternal impact

Agape Rehabilitation Center provides hope, healing, and holistic support to abused, drug-addicted, and sex-trafficked women in Mexico, fostering their journey toward recovery and reclaiming the lives God intended them to live.

Agape serves as a sanctuary as these women form a deep, profound relationship with Jesus Christ through the redeeming power of the Holy Spirit.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Matthew 11:28-30

Following God's call

Sexual and physical abuse of women and sex trafficking are widespread tragedies throughout the world. Some women are forced to use drugs and alcohol against their will, while others turn to drugs and alcohol to cope with the pain and torment of abuse. In 1990, Anita Flores listened to the call of God on her heart and moved to Mexico to share His love with women experiencing addiction following abuse.

In 1996, Anita partnered with The Vineyard Church to officially establish Agape Centro Rehabilitación (Agape) in Tijuana-- Mexico's first women-only rehabilitation center. It is a haven where women are safe from abusers and a world that often preys on them, and where they experience healing and restoration while learning of God's immense love for them.

Since Agape opened, over 3,000 women have been rehabilitated and put their trust in Jesus as their Lord and Savior because of Anita’s obedience to God's calling.

Agape Center today

  • Agape Rehabilitation Center currently is serving 37 women with the physical capacity of serving up to 50.

  • Women stay an average of 6-12 months, but may stay longer if needed. This is a compassionate difference from other programs in Mexico where the average stay is 7-14 days, meaning full rehabilitation is unlikely.

  • Agape focuses on spiritual, physical, and emotional healing.

  • Agape is currently serving women from Mexico and the United States.

  • Agape is a non-profit rehabilitation center. The monthly cost for rehabilitation at Agape is less than $200 per woman, while the monthly fee of other rehabilitation centers in Mexico is upwards of $500 per person.
